Camels don't need water so I can play up here forever
Mommy, wonít you come outside and play some games with me,
I heard my 4 year old say to me
Weíd lie upon the grass so green and stare up at the sky so blue
Hey, little guy, what do you see looking back at you?
Look over there - a giant turtle or maybe itís a train. The winds they shift - the clouds they drift - the sky is new again
Look, now I see a great big bird flying close to me
Hey, mommy wonít you tell what it is you see?
At first, all that I can see are fluffy white clouds filling up the sky
Then I catch a glimpse of the anticipation in his eyes
Before I know it my eyes have opened up to see -
the clouds above are beautifully painted canvases staring back at me
Suddenly, I am transported back in time
and I am now a 4 year old alongside my little guy
Wait a minute - isnít that a puppy dog chasing a bone -
look a fish - now a dragon
We play this game some more - I feel so free
Who would have thought what such a simple game would mean to me?
The day draws on - the clouds begin to disappear
Itís time for us to move on
But now each time I look up at the clouds,
I feel like I am 4 years old all over again
