2016 REFLECTIONS WINNERS - NHP MEMORIAL HS - LOCAL LEVEL
This year's competition for the Reflections Art/Literature Competition was intense. We had 181 entries from our school and the level of profession quality work submitted was amazing. Everyone who entered the competition should be congratulated for participating and realize that this year's judging was so intense that at one point an additional judge had to be called in to help break a tie. Yes, it was that close in almost every category, that's how impressive the work was. My congratulations on behalf of the NHP PTSA and also the Staff of NHPMHS goes out to all of the students who participated and to all the parents and teachers who encouraged and supported these students in the furthering of the arts and literature over the past years. Naturally, we would like to be able to award winner status to all but we are only able to advance the top 2 entries from each category and each division (Middle School and High School) onto the next competitve level (Nassau County Regionals). So, please join with me in congratulating the following students on their wins and wishing them luck in the next level.

**You may have noticed that not all categories are represented in each division, nor are there always 1st and 2nd place winners mentioned. This is not an oversight but rather we did not receive multiple entries in all categories or we may not have received entries in each grade bracket. In addition, some categories received no entries from either age bracket. Do you know what that means? If you were even considering the possibility of entering in any of those areas, then next year, don't just consider it - but go for it. We would love to see your name up here next year.**
